This is the second consecutive season the Dukes are playing in the CBI and their consecutive postseason tournament (NIT in 2009).
Duquesne finished their regulator on Friday when Saint Joseph's, the 12th seed, upset the Dukes in a Arlantic 10 Conference men's basketball tournament quarterfinal. The 2010-11 record for DU is 18-12. (Duquesne was the 4th seed in the tournament which was won by no. 3 seed Richmond Sunday afternoon.
Montana was the runner-up to Northern Colorado in last week's Big Sky Conference championship game. The Grizzlies finished the regular season with a 21-10 record.
Rhode Island and St. Bonaventure are also headed to CBI games.
The Atlantic 10 has seven programs, 50 percent of the league schools, in the 2011 postseason:
- NCAA: Richmond, Temple, Xavier
- NIT: Dayton
- CIT: none
- CBI: Duquesne, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure
